  • People who take antiepileptic medications for extended periods of time, as they can lower vitamin B7 levels in the body. 
  • People who take antibiotics for long periods of time which may destroy the bacteria producing vitamin B7 in the intestine. 
  • People with certain conditions, such as Crohn's disease , which makes it difficult for the intestine to absorb nutrients. 
  • Pregnant women, where at least one third of pregnant women are found to have vitamin B7 deficiency. 

Symptoms of a vitamin B7 deficiency 


    Symptoms of vitamin B7 deficiency begin gradually, and may increase over time, and symptoms of its deficiency are: light hair that may develop for hair loss, the occurrence of conjunctivitis, red eyes, nose, mouth, and anus, and it may affect adults with vitamin B7 deficiency as well.
