Vitamin B17

Vitamin B17 or what is known as Amygdalin or Laetrile belongs to the group of glycosides (in particular: Glycoside) and specifically Cyanogenic Glucosides, which were first isolated from the year 18 and 30 apricots . Then it was first used in cancer treatment in Russia in 1845 CE, to be used in the USA for the first time in the early twentieth century.

The amygdalin complex disintegrates into several compounds, eventually producing two compounds, Benzaldehyde and hydrogen cyanide (English: Hydrocyanic Acid). The effectiveness of amygdalin supposed to fight cancer is due to the hydrogen cyanide complex. It is worth noting that the amygdalin compound is not toxic in itself, but rather some products of its dissolution and dissolution in the body are toxic.
Although amygdalin is commonly called Vitamin B17, it is in fact not considered a vitamin. As for its uses, it is used in the treatment of cancer in many countries of the world, although it is not approved as a drug for cancer by the American Food and Drug Administration.

According to the National Cancer Institute's preclinical experiments, the amygdalin compound has no therapeutic effect if given individually, or in addition to the enzymes that stimulate the formation of hydrogen cyanide, but an increase in side effects is observed if it is given Amygdalin with the enzymes catalyzing hydrogen cyanide, knowing that there are no clinical studies comparing the effect of using amygdalin from its non-use on cancer patients.

Vitamin B17  is considered an unauthorized drug by the American Food and Drug Administration, and the neighboring country of Mexico is the most important supplier of vitamin B17 despite the variation in product quality in terms of its purity and ingredients, as some products that contain On bacteria and ingredients not related to the product.
